Big Hammer Swimbaits check out what's new.

The Ring Hammer once of the newest baits from Swimbait Company Big Hammer.  This new bait is similar to there original Big Hammer swimbaits but with some obvious changes.  The new bait compared to the old bait, as you can see there are now rings or ribs on the body of the bait conpaired to the old body on the original bait.  The rings come from there Ringer worm but instead of a curly tail they added the square tail to it to achieve the amazing swimming action that so many of us come to rely on.  I feel that the ringed body give this all ready amazing swimbait just a little more to help keep the fish latched on.

The rings tend to give it a little more give or texture making the lure seem more life like, which will keep the fish on for just a little long for your to set that hook.  I also feel that the rings provide small pockets to help trap what ever scent you add to your lures, which most of us use.  I also really like the size it come in, 4" in length. I always us the 3" swimbaits that Big Hammer makes, but have never been a fan of there bigger sizes they bodies seemed to be bulky.  I do know that they work and this is just my opinion.  But the new Ring Hammer at the 4" length is just the right size and shape of body I feel fooling those fish.  The last time I was out I tied on of these on and in true Big Hammer form it swam in the water just like a bait fish.  Even better it landed me 8 spotted bass in a 4 hour period, maybe to some that is not impressive, but for me in my float tube, I could not have been any happier.

Float Tube Forum Members Rock

My wife and I have for the last 11 years, been dealing with our 2 youngest kids and there medical needs.  It is a long story one which I have told a lot but now it has come to us needing to head out to Texas for some special research.  The cost of all the medical visits and medications has, cost me, last year 67% of my income.  So needless to say it has been hard for the last 11 years for us all.  Our kids are doing well we just need to continue to fight to try and find out what the issue truly is and hope that we can get a diagnosis.  If you would like to read more about this check out my other blog ( http://brucekatieb.blogspot.com ) It explains what we have been dealing with as best as I could explain.

Well why does the my Float Tube Forum members rock they are putting on a Fundraiser Gathering to help me and my family get to Texas for this research.  Everyone is invited and details can be found on http://floattubeforum.do-talk.com or e-mail me at jeffcpr@hotmail.com.

Here is what we got going on February 23rd. 5pm till midnight, $10 minimum pay in at the meeting spot.  fishing for spottied bass.  Catch and release so make sure you bring you scales and digital cameras.  The will be held at Mothers Beach Los Alamitos Bay, and like I said everyone is invited.  We will be tubing, but you can yak it or walk the shore, even swim if you like.  I am every proud of my Forum, these guys have helped me grow this site in to much more that a fishing board, and now they have out done themselves by talking this on.  With your help we will be able to make it to Texas to take part in this research and hopefully find some answers to help our kids in the long run.

Again for more info on the Fundraiser Gathering go to http://floattubeforum.do-talk.com and to find out more about my kids medical issue or maybe make a small donation go to ( http://brucekatieb.blogspot.com)  Finally for other question feel free to e-mail me at jeffcpr@hotmail.com.

Thanks
Jeff

Big Horn by Classic Accessories

The Big Horn from Classic Accessories, I just pick 2 of them.  Wow this basic tube is more than just basic, it is a great stable fully thought out u-shaped float tube.  A friend of mine has this very tube as his first float tube, and was very happy with it from the start.  It is always in his truck and ready to be used.  He also owns a Cumberland which is is first line tube, built by the same company (article on this one to come), but when there is a slight problem with a friends tube, here he comes with his Big Horn.

From what he has said and what I have seen this is not beginner float tube.  It can hold up to 250+ bls, and comes with plenty of storage on it as well.  It rides high in the water which is good as it does not have the stadium seating, which is not a down side it is just the style of this tube.  Starting price is about $150, and if you look some times you can find it for less. If you are an avid float tuber and need a quality back up.  Or a true fishermen just looking to get into his first float tube, then look into this one.  I am going to have fun truing this bad boy out.  Once I have tried it I will get back to everyone and let you all how it went, Tight Lines.
