The First Float Tube Fishing Magazine

I have searched and searched and have never found a magazine that was all about Float Tube Fishing.  So if you cannot find it then I guess you have to create it.  So that is what I decided to do, and it worked out pretty good.  The first issue that was published on line has done well with over 46,000 view so far.  I am working on the next issue right now and it will be ready in September.  Here is the first issue and stay tuned for the next issue.

ODC 420

The ODC 420 by Creek Company I have now had the pleasure using one and I will say I was very happy to finally use one.  This is the tube I have wanted since I first started tubing, and I was not disappointed.  I have now had a chance to ride in quite a few float tubes and this one comes second on my list as far as quality and us ability.
The ODC 420 is a great tube for the money, it rides very high in the water and is very comfortable to sit in for hours on end.  The pluses are as I stated above including the PVC coating under the tube witch is very a nice thing to add to a tube.
There are some down sides to this tube as I stated it is now second on my list as top quality float tubes.  The down sides are the valves are in the pockets, which is rough, because to get to the valves you need to move all the gear to the side or take it out of the pocket.  This is just a pain but not a really bad issue.  The other issue I see at least for me, is my legs rub on the inside of the tube so it seem to be slightly narrow for the inside diameter.
Over all the tube is very comfortable and tracks great in the water, you can spend along time on the water and take most everything you need for a simple day of fish.  And the cost is just right a great deal can be had as well if you wait for one of the many sales Creek Company has going on.  If you are in the market for a new float tube I do suggest you take a look at the ODC 420 it will be worth your time and would make a great tube for most anyone.

Big Horn by Classic Accessories

The Big Horn from Classic Accessories, I just pick 2 of them.  Wow this basic tube is more than just basic, it is a great stable fully thought out u-shaped float tube.  A friend of mine has this very tube as his first float tube, and was very happy with it from the start.  It is always in his truck and ready to be used.  He also owns a Cumberland which is is first line tube, built by the same company (article on this one to come), but when there is a slight problem with a friends tube, here he comes with his Big Horn.

From what he has said and what I have seen this is not beginner float tube.  It can hold up to 250+ bls, and comes with plenty of storage on it as well.  It rides high in the water which is good as it does not have the stadium seating, which is not a down side it is just the style of this tube.  Starting price is about $150, and if you look some times you can find it for less. If you are an avid float tuber and need a quality back up.  Or a true fishermen just looking to get into his first float tube, then look into this one.  I am going to have fun truing this bad boy out.  Once I have tried it I will get back to everyone and let you all how it went, Tight Lines.

What I have been up to

Ok it has been some time scenes I have posted here on my blog, and I would like to let you know way. I have been working on building custom rods for some customers, been working hard (very glad I just have a job) and finally I would like to post up that I have started a forum. this forum is dedicated to float tube fishing of all kinds and all locations. http://floattubeforum.do-talk.com/

First of all it has been fun building, it is just a free site but I have learned a lot already, not that there is not more to learn. I have gathered a few sponsors, partners and affiliates. For member of the Float Tube Fishing Forum you will receive discounts of up to 25% from some of our sponsors and others will be sending sample lures for me to past out to members as well.

Our affiliates are Bass Pro Shop and West Marine and order through our site link will result in money back to the forum. My goal is to one day be able to purchase my domain and no longer be a free forum. Of course that would mean that I was making money with the forum.

As for now I am just looking for members to join up and start sharing with others let us know what is going on in your waters. Meet some new friends in your area that maybe able to meet up with you and start some fishing groups of your own.
